The past months I’ve been busy relistening, remixing and remastering the Wavetracks that came to ears in 2015. And today I proudly present the results. For the first time all tracks are together on one album. The album is now available on all major streaming services and online stores!
I realise it has taken a while. Just after finishing the 20th track, my idea was to create a DVD accompanied by a CD. So I did some inquiries and crunched the numbers. Initially I wanted to start a Kickstarter campaign, raising funds to press the discs. But time moved on, and so did my life, and the usage of DVD’s (haha). After the dust settled the dream of an ‘official’ release came back. I took the time and patience to go back to all the tracks, and give them some more love and attention. Now finally it’s done, and ready to share in this new way, as an album.
About the changes: even though the are not dramatic, there’s an audible difference on some of the tracks. The first half of the tracks where still tuned in 440Hz. But now, the whole collection is tuned the 432Hz. Also, after finishing 20 tracks I learned a great deal about producing and mixing. I tried to use that knowledge to lift the earlier Wavetracks to the same level as the final ones. I owe many thanks to my friend Gerben Wiersma. He asked me ‘what if you combine thirteen melodies in one song?”…Thanks bro, it has been a ride.
